Medicines Management
The South Central Strategic Health Authority has organised a campaign to reduce medicines waste. The campaign is being launched on 20th February 2012. You may begin to see posters and leaflets attached to your prescriptions asking you to only order the medicines you are currently using and asking you not to order more than you need. The key messages which the South Central Strategic Health Authority are promoting are:
- Only order what you need
- Dispose of medicines safely (unused medicines cannot be recycled)
- When you go to hospital, take your medicines with you.
