Nursing Team
Nurse Practitioners
Fay Rackham-Wood, Julie Bryson
Our nurse practitioners are available to see the majority of on the day, urgent care, freeing up valuable GP appointments. Our prescribing nurse practitioners can see and treat illness such as multiple types of infections, rashes, burns, coughs and colds, wounds and some types of abdominal pains.
Practice Nurses
Julie Bryson, Ashlee Spacagna and Katie Hunt
In addition to general nursing clinics, the nurses hold cervical smear clinics, coil fittings and childhood immunisation and flu clinics. They can also advise you about vaccination requirements for overseas travel. Patients who suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma and coronary heart disease are also seen regularly by our nurses.
The nurses work closely with the doctors, and with the district nurses and health visitors.
Healthcare Assistants
Lisa Cobden
Our Healthcare Assistants are part our our nursing team and offer appointments to help patients to stop smoking, undertake health checks and can offer some immunisations to patients in addition to taking blood and other duties.
Phlebotomist
Diana Goodyear
Our Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining blood samples as required by the GP or Hospital. You will usually be offered an appointment with them if you need a blood test.
